My name is Jonathan Worley. I turned 18 years old in June, and am 6’5", 210 pounds. I have played Varsity baseball for High Tech High in San Diego since freshman year. In 2014 and 2015, I was selected to the All League 1st Team and named Pitcher of the Year (2014) and Player of the Year (2015). I also play club baseball with Team California Baseball and the Padres Fall Scout Team. My greatest strength is as a pitcher, but I am also the starting shortstop for my high school team. My travel experience includes national events in Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, and Indiana. I participated in the 2013, 2014, and 2015 PG Sunshine West Showcases, where I was named to the 2016 Top Prospect Lists, and was invited to the 2014 PG Underclass All American Games and the 2015 PG National Showcase. In 2014 and 2015, I was invited to Cary, NC to play for the USA Baseball 16U and 17U NTIS Southern California Teams. I was also honored to be selected for the 2015 Area Code Games Brewers Team (Southern California). My greatest assets as a pitcher are my poise, clean mechanics, and command of four pitches. I am working with a professional trainer 4-5 times a week to further develop my velocity through strength and mobility training. My pitching coaches are Chicago Cubs scout Alex Lontayo and Matt Sisto, formerly with the Philadelphia Phillies. I am a hard worker, both when it comes to baseball as well as my schoolwork, in which I maintain a 4.2 GPA. I belive in giving back to my community and am a volunteer umpire and buddy for the Miracle League of San Diego and a member of SACSN Student Athlete Community Service Network.
