My name is Conner Elgin, I am a freshman at Foothill High School and I am 14 years old. I went into foster care with my twin brother who has autism at age 6. We were adopted two years later by our foster parents when reunification with our biological mom failed. From the start mom and dad had us in Little League and eventually travel ball. I remember what got me interested in baseball was watching one of my new foster brothers playing in his first game. I wanted to be out there with him.
Through playing baseball and probably from getting a pretty rough start in academics from being shuffled from family member to family member, I learned I am more of a hands on learner. Challenge me, visually show me and put me through the workouts and trainings, let me push my body to achieve what it needs to do and I can get it done. My academic goals for high school and college is keeping my A-B average, I really enjoy my Ag. Mechanics class. I love to work with my hands, but unfortunately not every class is hands on!
