Personal Statement

My goals are to be an accomplished student athlete and represent myself, family and team with dignity and respect. My late grandfather Ernie Banks and my Dad have instilled these core moral ethics. Currently as a incoming Loyola freshman, I am still looking for my path as student athlete and collegian. I would like to focus on my studies, baseball and basketball skill sets to become a complete student athlete. My focus is to be 100% committed to my education, family, team and spiritual integrity to be the best teammate possible. I would consider myself as a "coachable kid" who listens to all coaches to become a better ballplayer and person. When I am selected for a team or organization, I always commit to it.  I have this "never give in, never give up" attitude, staying positive. I will always cheer on my teammates and I never dwell on the past. I focus on what I am doing at moment and try not to think too far into the future. I have several hobbies. I enjoy to traveling, food, and I like to read and draw.  My favorite subject is Science.

In 2016, I was selected by the Under Armour Baseball Factory 12U, based on the tryouts in March, July and September of my tryouts. Based on the March 2016 tryout, I was invited to his 2nd UA skills competition in July 2016. The UA skills camp was for 4 days at Lavern College. I trained with 37 12-14yr old boys, from all over the USA to included HI, CA, MA, and IL. UA coaches provided feedback on my skills highlighting my development and what I can improve.  I was invited to UA National Team also In July 2017 but declined to attend, as there was a conflict as I enrolled in Loyola Summer School. Subsequently I was selected and accepted to attend the combine of Elite Development Invitational (EDI) in Vero Beach Fl  at the Dodger Facility to compete.  After a tryout with USSSA in April 2017, I was selected to represent USSSA ESPN at World Wide Sports and the 13U FAR / WEST Region (American) All American Team in Orlando in August. Our team was comprised of 14 kids from CA, AZ and NV. We went 4-1 and lost in the Quarter final round.  It was a great experience and my goal is to make the 14U team next year. I currently play with Garciaparra Baseball Group (GBG Marucci  Navy) and will be playing in the 2017 Arizona Fall Freshman Classic 2021, September 28 - Oct 1.

I look forward to the new year as a Freshman at Loyola High school.

  • 2017 GARCIAPARRA BASEBALL GROUP (GBG MARUCCI 2021 / Fall 2017 - Present)
  • GARCIAPARRA BASEBALL GROUP Garciaparra Baseball Group (GBG) is a premier high school level and youth baseball club. GBG is not a “travel team”, we are a College Developmental Program. Our program is geared towards kids development in the game of baseball and helping them achieve their goals of playing college baseball and beyond. GBG was created by Michael and Ramon Garciaparra in 2012. Michael was a first round draft pick by the Seattle Mariners and is currently the So. Cal. Area Scout for the St. Louis Cardinals. He has also been an instructor for U.S.A. Baseball. Ramon brings extensive experience to our program with coaching at many levels and is proud that his two sons (Michael and Nomar) were first round draft picks for the MLB. Since our inception in 2012, GBG has already won 8 National titles and have 4 teams ranked in the top 12 in the Nation by Perfect Game with two teams ranked in the top 6. We have a college recruiting coordinator in our GBG family to help our players with the recruitment process. If a player has dreams and aspirations of playing college baseball and beyond, we’ll do all we can to help him make that dream a reality. We pride ourselves in COMMUNICATING with everyone in our program. We have established great relationships with many high school and college coaches. Being very passionate about what we do, we want to assure you that we take great care of our players and we welcome every player into the GBG family. We use our knowledge of the game and our positive “Learn First. DOMINATE LATER!” approach to help our players be the best they can be.
  • 2016 LA Rockstars (14U / Fall 2016 - Summer 2017)
  • The LA Rockstars Baseball Club was founded in 2007 to provide “next level” baseball opportunities for aspiring players from urban communities in Los Angeles County. Our focus is to maintain a competitive travel baseball program that emphasizes quality instruction, playing MLB rules and acting as a feeder to the national RBI program, MLB Urban Youth Academy and USA Baseball programs. Our goal is to get players prepared to play in high school by giving them instruction and information from a coaching staff made up of former college and professional players. We focus on developing the spirit of competition and detailed baseball skills that are demanded by high school coaches, college coaches and professional scouts.
