Alexander DeShields '17 Recruiting Profile

I am coachable. I've been told this by multiple coaches throughout my years of baseball. I don't care where you tell me to play, I'll play there if it is really what is best for the team. This reflects to other aspects of me as a person, if I'm told to do something I'll do it to the best of my abilities once I set my mind to it. I'm not scared to try to bunt to get on if the third base man is playing me back I'll lay one down, even though I'd rather crush it, It's more likely i get on if I bunt. I will always try to make adjustment to my mechanics and I'm not scared to try something new if it suggested to me. This year my coach has told me multiple ways to adjust my swing and I have tried to incorporate each one, even though I didn't keep each change. After practice I'm almost always the first one on the field for clean up and the last one to leave, I have the job of watering the grass and dirt and I have no problem taking care of it. I will work hard and do what is told, within reason, without any question or conflict.
