I want to try to play baseball as long as I can. As a major, I would like to study something in the medical field. Whether a pharmacist, physician's assistant, or even kinesiology. As a freshman in high school, I had ankle surgery. It was very extensive and painful but I had an excellent doctor that helped me to return faster than predicted to a full recovery. My interactions with my doctor intrigued me into the medical field and I feel that a major in one of the studies would suit me well. I want to help either young or seasoned athletes the same way my doctor did.
As a baseball player, I am hard working and dedicated. I have been through adversity, I understand both the mental and physical hardships of the game and the catcher position. Through my years at Servite High School in Anaheim I have created strong bonds with my pitchers. To them I am not just another catcher, I am also another coach. I help them to make the necessary adjustments needed in a game and practice. I feel that the leadership I have learned as a football player has helped me to become a good catcher, teammate, and leader. Even though I feel that I am a good baseball player, I know that I have not yet peaked and is open minded into whatever is thrown at me, either as a hitter, catcher, teammate, or person.
