I have been wrestling competitively since second grade. I have developed such a passion for the sport that it has become my identity. I want to continue to wrestle at the college level. I love the sport because of the demanding physical and mental aspects of it mirror the struggles of every day life. Being a wrestler has shaped the way I approach everything in my life. Wresting has helped me develop a strong work ethic and allowed me to see the benefits of hard work first hand. Wrestling season never ends and neither does the time to work hard. I love all styles of wrestling, and have excelled in not only folkstyle, but also Greco and Freestyle. I train year round and believe the hard work I put in during spring and summer has contributed to my success during the scholastic season. I enjoy weight training and the everyday grind of it is something I have come to love and want to continue for a long time. As focused as I am on success on the mat, I understand that academics need to be a priority if I am to succeed. I work hard in the classroom to keep my grades up. I am looking for a college where I can excel at wrestling and get a top notch education.
