I've been wrestling since I was seven years old. At the time, I was also playing football and baseball. In middle school, wrestling became my passion. I started to compete beyond the federation league and started to travel to different places to compete. The various experience's helped prepare me for high school and started varsity my freshmen year.
I value the sport of wrestling because it's helped me develop strength, discipline, and determination. I bring all the characteristics to my sport every day and to the other aspects of my life. I am a very focused individual. I work hard at everything I do whether it's academically or athletically. I get the extra workouts in, even when I'd rather stretch out on the couch. I believe I am one of the most determined and committed athletes my age.
I am an honor roll student, so I do spend a good deal of time studying. Besides the time I spend on my schoolwork, and my sport, I work hard to support my family. I helped my grandparents and my aunt move from New Hampshire to Virginia. I've been captain of my high school team the past two years. I truly understand how important setting an example is and what being a leader really means.
