I started the sport of wrestling when i was 5 years old. I still remember the first day of practice, my dad helped me put on my new size 2 wrestling shoes, and my huge headgear that kept falling off my head. Now I'm 17 years old. There are 3 things I cherish most in my life, School, Family, and Wrestling. My parents have always pushed me to have good grades. In the term, "Student Athlete", student comes first. So I strive to keep above a 3.5 GPA, while challenging myself with AP and honors classes. I would never be where I am now without the help of my parents and my brother. I've had one goal all throughout my 11 years of wrestling. And that is to have a gold medal around my neck at the end of the state tournament. Every day I walk into my wrestling room with that goal in mind. Going through long grueling practices, having endless live sessions with my coaches. Nonstop sprints back and forth hundreds of times a day. One would have to be out of their mind to play this sport. Yet I come back everyday thirsty for more.
