Sean O’Malley: Class of 2017 at Hasbrouck Heights High School.
Moving into my senior year, my immediate goal is to improve. I am focused on improving performance from last season one move, one match at a time. I am proud of my recent induction into the National Honor Society and am dedicated to continued success academically.
I train at APEX Wrestling School 4-5 days a week with Damion Logan, Erik Norgaard, Alex Karnitski, Joe Warren and Diego Crespo, where some of the best wrestlers in the tristate region come to train. The APEX philosophy focuses on training, technique, strategy development and sportsmanship.
I am on a nutrition and exercise program to wrestling this upcoming season at true 220.
My collegiate goals are to adapt and excel in the classroom and on the mat at the college or university of my choice, actively contribute to individual and team championships, graduate and move on to the next challenge.
I believe in family, community and leading by example. I am dedicated and committed to my studies and my chosen athletics.
I have interests in criminal justice, economics, chemistry and history but am undecided on what major I wish to pursue.
Hasbrouck Heights is a small town with a close community, 5 miles from New York City. I am open to any available options of colleges or universities with a close wrestling community and deep support system. My preference is to stay close to home.
