Matthew Lemanowicz '12 Recruiting Profile

Since I was a young I knew that I wanted to become a collegiate athlete.  At the time I thought that it would be as a football or baseball player, but then I found wrestling and it consumed my life.  Gradually,  I stopped doing my other sports in order to concentrate on wrestling.  I worked hard and was able to become All-State when I placed third at state last year.  As I continued to work in the off-season I was able to become a member of the Missouri National Team and wrestle at the national tournament in Fargo, North Dakota.  I enjoyed the experiences I had, but I am still aiming higher as I aspire to become a State Champion, All-American, and National Champion.  I am currently a 5'10" senior and wrestle at 152 pounds.  I am hardworking, dedicated, and a leader in the practice room.  I am constantly pushing my teammates along with myself to work harder and become better.  As captain I am always looking to help my teammates reach the next level.  Also, I am always trying to work harder than everyone else in my room and then do some extra work.  I am open to all schools as long as they have a good educational program and are serious about wrestling.  I want to major in either engineering or mathematics.  My goal for college is to obtain a quality education while becoming the best wrestler that I can possibly become.
