Personal Statement
I would make a good candidate for a wrestling scholarship because I am determined, respectful, and cooperative with my teammates and coaches. I am focused at the tasks at hand and am not easily distracted. I have good leadership skills and have leadership experience as a team captain and as a platoon SGT. in J.R.O.T.C . As for wrestling I have done it for a little over 4 years and have improved a lot sense I have begun. Wrestling is the only sport I have done except for cross country my junior year. I train both in season and of season. In addition, I make conscious decisions about my diet and body so as to have edge over my opponents. In fact, wrestling and its preparation has become an integral part of my life which has helped me mentally, academically, and physically. I have learned to become a more disciplined, and compassionate person through wrestling.
I believe I would make an excellent recruit apart from others because of my multicultural background. I as the son of a First SGT. in the army I lived all over the us and other countries. I am a third culture kid and thus am able to work with people of different backgrounds. So a am adaptable to different enviorments.
