Devin Tortorice '13 Recruiting Profile

I am currently 5'8 and a 126/132 pound varsity wrestler. I live in Wauconda Illinois and will graduate in 2013. My experience includes 7 years of club wrestling and out of those years I qualified for state all possible seasons and placed my 7th grade year. My experience also includes freestyle and folkstyle wrestling. I have placed 5th & 6th at Freestyle State. I am currently a four time varsity starter for high school, Conference Champ and qualified for state my Sophomore and Junior year. I was Regional & Sectional Champion and placed 3rd at IHSA State Senior year. I was also team co- captain my Junior year. Some of my qualities in the practice room are that I am first in the room, last to leave and always looking for a tougher challenge. I would prefer a medium sized school close to home but will keep all my options open to various opportunities. My decision on a major would include a profession that involves an athletic environment, such as physical education teacher with coaching, exercise science, personal trainer, etc.. A personal goal of mine is to be a starter my freshman year at college. I would also like to compete at the highest level of competition possible and make a positive impact on the team. I am looking forward to the experience of finding the best fitting school to benefit myself, the team and the college I attend through sports and the education experience.
