I started wrestling in 7th grade of middle school as my football coach recommended it. Now I love it. It is part of me.
As a 4 year Varsity Starter in the 3A Division (Illinois has 3 divisions based upon school size and 3A is the largest) and having placed at many tournaments in Illinois as well as in our conference and regional meets, I am an extremely hard working and coachable athlete that would welcome the opportunity to work with a coach to help me wrestle at the next level.
This past summer, as in the summers prior, I focused on attending wrestling camps to improve my skills, and get more mat time in to gain experience. Through this, I hope to accomplish my goals of having over 30 wins next season, and to place in state and then wrestle at the next level in a great college program.
I know what it takes to work hard, through the camps that I have done, and the practices that I have gone through with my team, and without. The camps that I have done are: 28 day J-Rob Intensive Camp, Edinboro Heavyweight Wrestling, and the Iowa 11 day intensive camp.
I have a 3.55 weighted GPA, and an ACT of 31.
Academic and Leadership Accomplishments
I was very proud to have been selected by my wrestling coach and football coach to represent our teams to participate in the Student Athlete Leadership Training (SALT) program since its introduction to the school in during my Sophomore and Junior years and I am continuing on in my Senior year. Additional I am very proud to have been to have made the All American All Conference Team for football and wrestling since the school has implemented the award in my Sophomore year.
