Damen Patisaul '12 Recruiting Profile

I started wrestling my sophmore year of high school and I wrestled the weight class 125 while only weighing 115lbs. When I first started wrestling I wasn't sure if wrestling was the sport for me or if I was going to be good at it, but in time i found that it was. picking up moves as fast as they could show them i improved every time i stepped on the mat, i just got better and better. within the year my record stood at 23-13, then at districs i received a concusion and was done for the season. this event scared me and for about a month and a half i didn't wrestle. Finally, my coaches asked me to come back and as soon as i did i fell in love again. I worked hard and long thoughout the summer, taking all the opportunities that came my way, going to every camp possible practicing every week trying to improve and get better. My coaches tell me that I pick up moves faster then they had ever seen and it showed when i came back stronger than ever the season of my junior year. I returned with a burning determination to win, and that's exactly what I did. My record that season was 47-8 and i placed 6th at the state tournament. This summer i plan to work even harder to be the first state champ in my high schools history. I hope to set all the records at my high schol and brake the ones I currently hold. After high school it would mean the world if i could wrestle at the collegiate level. Any opportunity to go to college would be amazing.
