I started my journey as a wrestler back in middle school. I wasn't the best wrestler on the mat but I definitely had the most heart and was one of the most dedicated. As I made the change towards high school wrestling, I made sure I was the hardest worker in the room. Even off the mat, I made sure I did whatever I could to improve myself. I attacked the weights in the weight room and would go on runs at night to improve my overall athleticism. After practice, I would come home and drill the moves over and over again. All the hard work payed off. I've placed at tournaments both at the state level and the national level and have earned All-American status in this sport. As well as being industrious, others look towards me for guidance . I am a leader both on and off the mat.
In addition to being strong in athletics, I excel in academics. I made sure to take the most challenging courses offered at Manchester High School. My schedule consists of AP classes and honors classes. I am also ranked in the top five percent of my class. I will make sure I continue this trend in college.
My goal is to wrestle at the collegiate level for a school that both displays a rigorous academic program that supports my career interest and has a competitive athletic program. Through the hard work and determination that I display on the mat and in the classroom, hopefully I am a valid candidate to wrestle for any collegiate team.
