Personal Statement

All while growing up, and through part of high school, I wanted nothing more than to be a player in the NFL, while wrestling on the side. But I soon realized that being 5' 10", 160 lbs, isn't exactly what an NFL player looks like. Midway through my sophomore year, I found a passion for wrestling, and every single aspect of the sport.
I am currently a senior attending Douglas County High School in Castle Rock, Colorado, with a 3.7 GPA. Although I have a Passion for wrestling, school will always come first. I hope to major in Agricultural Business, or Farm and Ranch Management. Growing up on a small ranch, and participating in 4-H, really opened my eyes to agriculture, and I have acquired a fascination with ranch animals and plants. I've raised swine every year since I can remember, which has taught me upmost patience from the countless hours spent in training and feeding them.
I work extremely hard, day in, and day out to be the best that I can be. I do weight Training with Baker’s Performance Systems, and wrestle for the Summit Wrestling club, under Wyoming 4x All-American, Joe LeBlanc. Baker’s Performance System’s focus is to make their athletes as strong, fast, and explosive as possible. Since starting there, I have gone far, and made leaps and strides in my strength, speed, and explosiveness. That, paired with the professional expertise, and finesse that Joe LeBlanc is passing on to me, is turning into the perfect combination for being an elite level wrestler.
My greatest attribute as a Student-Athlete is definitely my mental toughness and focus. No matter if it is in wrestling or not, if i see something that I want, I will stay focused, and do everything that I possibly can to get that thing. Wrestling has not only taught me hard work and determination, but also how to make it applicable in everyday life.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
