I've been an athlete since I was 5 years old playing football and baseball. I also did Judo for a while. These sports gave me a lot of athleticism and discipline. When I went into high school, I played baseball and I also wrestled. The reason why I got into wrestling was too originally get stronger because I was a scrawny kid weighing only 80 pounds. I have had many experiences wrestling and I found out I loved the sport of wrestling; so after sophomore year I quit baseball to stick with wrestling. Concentrating on wrestling helped me to get better at the sport and allowed me to place at various tournaments and make my record better.
Some of the academic goals I am striving for is at least a 3.3 overall GPA in high school by senior year and get a bachelor’s degree for my undergrad studies, then continue on getting a master’s degree in physical therapy. Throughout my high school career, I have had many obstacles that pushed me back, but also made me a better person all around. A big obstacle I had to overcome was when I didn’t make it to CIF sophomore year. This made me work harder in the wrestling room, which allowed me to go to CIF my junior year. I believe that I not only have the talent, but the work-ethic, discipline, and leadership skills to be a great fit on a college team.
