Becca Doughty '16 Recruiting Profile

I believe that I make a great candidate for your college volleyball team, because I have been playing volleyball pretty much since I learned how to walk. I am a very dedicated athlete not only in volleyball, but I also play basketball and I work out all year round to keep in good shape. As a setter I have to be the quarterback on the court, and I take that to heart. Even my freshman year I had to start taking control on the court even though all the other girls were older than me and I had to step out of my comfort zone, but I was willing to do it and since I have matured more as an athlete and I am not afraid to tell my team mates what going on and what they need to do. I am also a very coachable player, I am always open to suggestion and am always looking to improve as an overall player. Volleyball is my life and I understand that in order for me to play I have to be able to balance school along with practices and games. Im not a 4.0 student and I don't have the best grades, because I do really struggle in school, but I do try my hardest and strive to succeed just like on the court.
