My name is McKenzie Burke and I am a varsity starter as a middle blocker for my high school volleyball team. I am a three sport athlete. I play volleyball, basketball, and softball. Out of those three, volleyball is my true passion. No matter what sport I am in at the time, I try my absolute best to keep playing this sport in any way shape or form. Volleyball is not the only most important thing in my life, but academics and schooling is also. My goals after I graduate high school, is to pursue my dream of playing college volleyball. Not only would I like to play in college, but I want a career ahead of me. My ideal field that I would like to be in is the medical field. I would like to go into medical research and pursue a career in that field of work.
The main reason that I want to play volleyball in college is because not only do I have a passion for the sport, but it makes me into the person that I am today. Throughout my years of playing I have become to be a strong leader on and off the court. I had the privledge to be team captain as junior which shows of how my teammates think of me as a leader. My communication skills with my teammates and peers have made me better as a player and person in general.
I feel that I have worked hard to be where I am today. I would like to keep going and get as far as I possible can with playing volleyball and with my academics. I want to become the best person I can be and to not stop now, but to keep going and go as far as I can possiby go and let nothing stop me or get in my way of my dreams.
