Mackenzie Troost '17 Recruiting Profile

Volleyball has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. As I grew up I watched my sister play and learned from her. I started playing in sixth grade with friends between high school jv and varsity games. From there my love for the sport grew. I started playing competitive in junior high and I fell in love with the sport. Volleyball became the sport that I spent all my free time playing. I would pass that ball around by myself at the house or with some friends.  Getting older being on varsity was my one goal. My freshman year when I was asked to play with them I was super happy because I worked hard enough to finally reach my goal. Every since I keep working hard to keep my position on varsity. When I was in high school I started playing summer ball at a field house in Wisconsin Dells and from there I found out that they had a winter club season and I wanted to play. I've been playing club since then and I'm now in Madison at an elite club where I get to learn more while having the best time of my life playing the sport I love. I have always wanted to play in college. It's been a dream of mine since I started playing this sport. I will dedicate my time to becoming better and work hard to reach my goal just as I have in the past!
