2014 HighlightsPersonal Statement
Hi, my name is Ali Zamzow. I am a junior at Merrill High School in Wisconsin. I have been playing volleyball since I was in 4th grade. I have played Club Volleyball since 6th grade and this past summer I began playing sand volleyball as well. I have been a Varsity starter for the past two seasons. I am a leader on the court, and was a captain during this past season. I have a positive attitude and I make an effort to keep my teammates positive and motivated. I take advantage of all open gyms, skills camps, practices, and attend many summer volleyball camps. I love getting feedback from coaches and teammates, and I make the changes that I need to make. I know that I don't know everything about volleyball, and that's why I stay open with receiving feedback. I keep in mind that I can always improve my skills and knowledge about the game. Before every practice I think about something I want to work to improve on and I set high goals for myself. As I get closer to graduation, the decision to play college volleyball has become clear....I can't imagine my life without playing volleyball!
