Rayna Figueroa '16 Recruiting Profile

I am Rayna Figueroa and I am a left handed, opposite hitter.  I would like to persue an engineering degree and would love to continue to play volleyball while in college.  I am a great student who  knows how to study and prioritize. I'm hard working, driven, and eager to learn new things.  I'm a team player and easy to get along with.  I feel that I will make a great college volleyball player because I am conscientious, competitive, obsessed with volleyball, and pretty low maintenance.  

Something that sets me apart from others is my family background.  My Father wrestled in the 1992 olympics and placed 10th.  He wrestled for Puerto Rico while living and working in Manitowoc, Wi.  He had to train mostly on his own and find his own partners to practice with.  He trained both of my older brothers, who were state champion and runner up.  I tell this to you because my family knows how much work and determination go into being successful at something you love.
