Maddie Hodge '16 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to continue playing volleyball for the next four years at the collegiate level and to earn my four-year degree and then continue on to graduate school.  I am a better student when I am also an athlete.  As a student-athlete I work hard, and as captain of my team, I motivate my teammates to do the same.  I am dedicated and loyal.  I am a team player; I understand my role, and I am a coachable athlete.  I listen and utilize suggestions and constructive comments to my advantage.  My strong work ethic follows me into the classroom.  I am in the top 5% of my class and take as many challenging course as are offered. I have served as president of my class for the past three years.  In addition to athletics and academics, I contribute to my community with my volunteer hours and efforts, raising vegetables and chickens for the local food pantry and working with youth in my 4-H club.  My sincerity, contagious positive attitude, determination, and competitive spirit make me an asset to my team, school and community.
