Lauren Luoma '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing club volleyball for 8 years.  After watching my older sister experience club and school volleyball before me,  I was ready to follow right in her footsteps.  Ever since I started playing in the larger competitions at the 14s club level, I knew that I wanted to continue playing volleyball after high school.  Playing volleyball in college would be a great experience and a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my life.

 I have a large voice on the court and a strong serve/receive passer.  I am a team leader, as shown by my captain role on the varsity team my sophomore and junior year.  I lead with enthusiasm and encouragement, doing the best to show my teammates my passion for the game. I am very coachable and enjoy constructive criticism as it helps me correct my mistakes and improve.  I strive to be one of the hardest working players by competing in different sports and having self discipline.

In the classroom, I work and study hard to obtain a high GPA of 3.72.  I have many academic honors and am involved in many church activities including the annual mission trip, youth group and volunteering. I have also been accepted to be apart of the National Honors Society.

I would like to attend a college where I can achieve my goals in the classroom and on the court. I am open to all options and hope to find a college that will be the right match with a high level of competition. I am driven towards being a person that people look up to and overall, make my parents proud.
