Personal Statement

I want to continue to develop my physical/technical skills, as well as my knowledge and understanding of the game. As Captain this past travel season, I had the opportunity to grow in my leadership on and off the court. This past high school season, I met my goal to help GWHS win our state championship! I have two years left of high school volleyball and I plan to work every year toward winning that championship again! The setter and I were the team’s only six rotation players, and our team set a school record of 65-1-1. For all of those games, I was only off the court one time for about two minutes. I feel I have grown significantly in handling both the physical and mental pressures associated with that kind of record. I grew this year in playing defense and hitting. In college, I want to make a significant contribution to my team in winning a conference title and a place in the NCAA tournament. It is important to me to play with teammates with these same goals and a never give up attitude. This past high school season has taught me a lot about perseverance and payoffs!! Plus, I want to be a team on and off the court – always supporting members of my team. Academics are also very important to me and I want to attend a school where I can pursue my areas of interest and prepare for a successful future and possibly graduate school.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
