Personal Statement

My name is Nicole Pittelkau, I was born and raised in Lacey, WA. I am 5ft. 8in., 130 pounds. I have been playing volleyball for seven years. I started off playing as a middle blocker in club until 16's club season when I started playing as an outside hitter. I was a member of varsity as a middle blocker freshmen year and a varsity starting middle blocker sophomore year. Both freshmen and sophomore year my team went to state where I played middle. Freshmen year at state I was rewarded by the refs a sportsmanship award for my team encouragement, I was also co-team capitain of my club team [Olympia] that year. During my u16's club year I began playing starting outside hitter and continued to be a starting outside hitter for high school as a junior. My junior year, my team at Timberline High School went to state again, for my third year in a row. However this time I played as a starting outside rather than middle and for the first time ever in Timberline History we placed and got a trophy. Also all though I have never played right-side as my dominant position I have had practice in it and am always willing to play where ever I am asked to. My goal is to play as an OH/DS in college. I am dreaming to play for any school that can offer me the chance to continue playing and improving. I am constantly playing or watching volleyball to improve and get different outlooks on each play. I am a very hard worker when it comes to both school and volleyball. I strive to be the best I can be and keep my grades at the highest possible. I have been on honor roll every year of high school and am currently part of two different Honors Societies. As a junior in high school I decided to do running start at South Puget Sound Community College to widen my range of learning. I am hoping to graduate high school with not only a diploma but my Associate of Arts from the community college. The degree I am hoping to pursue is something in the law/science/medical field. I am looking for a college with a good education and a good volleyball program.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
