Hannah Wagner '15 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a junior in high school who has set high goals for myself and feel very clear on how to reach those goals.  I am seeking a college/university where I can contribute to the volleyball team while working toward a degree in Engineering. My interests lie in the area of technology.  Volleyball is my passion and has been since I was very young.  I spend my days playing on a high level high school team and national level club team. I have been playing since I was eleven years old. When I am not practicing with a team, I am working on my own with a private skills trainer, or in the gym on power and strength. During the summer months I travel out of state to attend high level camps around the county. I truly love to play! I understand that, in order to reach the goals I have set for myself, I must never lose sight of where I am headed.  Not only am I a hard worker, I am extremely coachable and get along very well with my teammates!  This year, as a junior, I was selected by my coach as team captain.  This is not only because of my contribution during the games, but also because of my leadership qualities and ability to motivate others.  I was also selected for the Metro All-League Team, and earned the Outstanding Leadership Award for my team.

I am equally competitive in the classroom.  Currently, my GPA is a 3.5, and will be higher at the end of the semester.  As a junior, the majority of my classes are "senior level," and I am in some of the toughest classes my school has to offer, including a number of AP and Honors courses.  I am excellent at time management, which allows me to achieve the grades I am after, while still having time to play volleyball at the level I enjoy.
