Ever since I was little, I wanted to play a college sport. I wanted that sport to be soccer or at least I did until I discovered volleyball was my sport. That moment of discovery was four years ago when I went to a volleyball camp at RVC (Richmond Volleyball Club). A coach there told me he wanted me to try out and told me I had potential. I decided to try out and I made a team. Every year since then, I have worked hard to be where I am at. My love for working out came in handy when my dad got me to wake up at four in the morning to press weights. My favorite work out was always squatting! My highest weight was 195 lbs. Squats have helped me increase my vertical! Often people look at me and say I am too short to be an outside hitter, but then I just say, "I hit hard and jump high!" I love to be pushed hard, because I know practice, hard work, and determination are what makes an athlete. I hope to play college volleyball for a great school and get the achievements on and off the court that I have worked for.
