Samantha Verhaagen '16 Recruiting Profile

As soon as I began playing volleyball for my school in the sixth grade I fell in love. I have worked hard to improve my skills. I started playing for recreational leagues and eventually played club/travel and beach volleyball. As the years passed my passion for volleyball has intensified. My goal is to play in college where my strong work ethic, positive and encouraging attitude can contribute to my future team’s future successes.

In addition to volleyball I have worked hard in school and in my volunteer work. All during high school I have volunteered at our lower school with Sports Club, which gives me the opportunity to mentor to young children in developing their skills in various sports. I have also actively participated in my church’s mission trips, weekly small groups, and various service projects.

I strive to be a positive leader and role model on and off the court.
