Personal Statement

I have been playing volleyball since middle school (and club) and I want to continue playing my favorite sport in college. I have been an outside hitter for the varsity team last 3 years.  I am the only player on varsity not rotated out because my back row skills are excellent. I have been fortunate to experience an amazing high school volleyball career which includes being a statewide ‘Prep of the Week’ by Deseret News in October, 2014. This year I was elected as one of the varsity captains and proud to claim the first undefeated region season ever for a Rowland Hall volleyball team and to capture our second consecutive Region 14 Championship trophy.

I am a 3.94 honor student at a college-prep school (2A) and I plan on taking my first ACT/SAT in Spring of 2015. I am 5'7" and my vertical touch is 9'5". I was 2nd in region for the high jump as a freshman by clearing 4'9"(missed 1st place by 1 inch), and I was a MVP for my school's varsity basketball team as a freshman, and the outstanding offensive player last year, taking the region championship in an undefeated season. As much as I enjoy playing other sports, I have decided to focus on volleyball in pursuit of a collegiate volleyball career. I am very excited for the club season as I will further develop my skills as a libero for a premiere select team at Club V. I greatly appreciate your time. I am hopeful you have a chance to watch my highlight reel and I look forward to correspondence.

The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
