Ever since the very first day I played volleyball with my 7th grade club team, i fell in love with the sport. Unfortunately I didn't get to continue to play club the next 3 years do to the conflicting schedule with basketball, and track. I have ran track for 9 years and even qualified for state finals in the 100 meter my freshmen and sophomore year. My junior year after winning the 4A State Championship in volleyball, I knew I wanted volleyball in my life as long as possible, my senior year my team and I placed second in the state. I received 1st team All-State Deseret News, 2015 Senior All-Star, Offensive Player of the year, and Timpview High School 2015-2016 Student- Athlete of the year. I learned how to become a better team player/leader, and to be more coach able. I will carry these lessons and apply them to my everyday life as I journey on. I will not let my height be a disadvantage for me. I will work hard in the classroom as well as on the court. I want to eventually play for a Division 1 school, right now I am a freshman in college currently playing for Colorado Northwestern Community College. My first year (fall 2016) I received 2nd team all conference in the SWAC. I will continue to work hard, and be placed on the first team next fall, and All-American. I am a hard worker and I will put my blood, sweat, and tears into this sport before losing or giving up hope in my teammates, coaching staff, and most importantly doubt in myself. I love pressure situations and perform very well under them, I am adaptable to all types of coaching styles, as well as quick offenses. I love everything about this game and the pro's and con's that come along with it. I will never settle for anything less. It's not about the size of the person, just the size of the heart.
