Meghan Mahon '13 Recruiting Profile

First things first, I am open to playing for different types of schools.  Secondly, I am 5'3, I weigh 130 pounds, my mile time is always under 7 minutes, and my vertical has been increasing overtime because I'm in the process of training.  Thirdly, at this point in time, I have been playing volleyball for 8 years, but I've been playing club volleyball going on 4 years now.  I made varsity volleyball as a freshman, and I've been captain since then.  I am devoted to whatever I am doing at that moment, whether it is playing in a game and giving it my all (110%), or helping my parents with whatever task they're asking me to do.  I am strong (physically & emotionally).  I'm a hard worker and I've shown all my previous coaches that by striving to achieve in everything that is necessary and even more in that particular situation.  To me, my drive is always pushed to the limit because I've always wanted to play in college, and I've always dreamed to go to the olympics.  Most importantly, I have a good personality.  I know how to take constructive critism.  I'm friendly and I feel that I am good at adjusting to whatever situation I am put in.  For my major, I've always wanted to become a nurse, or a veterinarian.  I love helping people and I love taking care of animals.  My goals are to play as a freshman so that I can show myself and other girls that you don't have to be 6 feet tall to be an awesome volleyball player and that it's all about heart for the game and drive to become better everyday.  I would also love to make an impact to that particular team that I would be playing for.
