When I was twelve I switched from basketball to play volleyball since I have exercise induced asthma and my older sister had learned about club volleyball. Due to family moves, I have played at 2 different middle schools and 3 different hight schools as well as 4 different clubs in 3 states. Therefore, I have played different positions and became adaptable as middle, right-side, back row, and setter. Setting became my primary focus after my 16's club team lost both setters. Also at a young age I learned that I had food intolerances to dairy and gluten. I learned to think about what went into my body and plan ahead, so that I could excel and perform at tournaments.
I was diagnosed as having dyslexia and low auditory memory. These conditions helped me learn how to work very hard to learn to read and learn difficult to understand concepts. I want to major in Marine Biology.
