My name is Tapanga Moten and I am a Middle Hitter from New Orleans, LA but I moved to Dallas, TX the end of my 9th grade year in 2013. This was the year I fell in love with the game of Volleyball. I Graduate the year of 2016, and plan on taking my volleyball career further to the next level. I have only been playing organized volleyball for 3 years but I work hard to perfect my game by extra work outs and club sports. I currently play for Texas Advantage Volleyball on the 18 Blue team. Joining club sports 2 years ago has pushed me to compete with players who have been playing most of their lifetime. I played one year JV for my high school and just finished my second Varsity season for my senior year 2015-16.
I want to study child psychology when I go to college. I have a general interest and passion to help or assist children in supportive manner. I want to attend a school that will allow me to continue to play volleyball. I want to play for a team that will continue to add to my on court grit and determination to dominate in my position. I want to study under a coach that will see my potential and assist me in my journey to become an Olympic Volleyball player for Team USA, while perusing my degree in child psychology.
I will also commit to giving my team the best of me and represent my family, team, and university as I represent myself.
