Madison Barnes '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Madison Barnes and I am a 16-year-old junior at Prince of Peace Christian Academy in Plano, TX.  My main interests are family, education and volleyball.  My two main focuses are on obtaining the best pre-university education possible in high school, and in furthering my athletic training/skills to create continuous improvement in volleyball.  In school, I take primarily Honors and AP classes to ensure I am ready for the strenuous curriculums of the best academic universities in the country.  Regarding athletics, I am starting on the varsity high school VB team as a juniore and I am currently on the top 16’s Elite National team for the Frisco Flyers Volleyball Club.  In addition to school and club volleyball, I also take private coaching lessons to help me further develop my volleyball skills both physically and mentally. 

My parents, teachers and coaches have all been a tremendous support structure to help me improve in the classroom and on the court.  I believe that I would be a tremendous asset to any college level team.  I’ll be bringing a strong work ethic, a desire for continuous improvement, and a willingness to dedicate myself to teamwork along with me as I move from high school to college level athletics.  I enjoy being part of a team that works collaboratively to achieve our common goals and I am looking forward to having that experience continue as I move into the college levels of my volleyball career.  I will continue to dedicate myself 100% both mentally and physically to my education and my volleyball team as I transition to the next level.  I hope that I have the opportunity to meet you to discuss and show you my desire and abilities as a volleyball player.  I am sure that you will see I am preparing myself mentally, physically and emotionally to bring a well-rounded student-athlete to a campus like yours in a few short years.
