  • I was captain of the team as well as a starter. Occasionally I played a 5-1. My team qualified for the Tour of Texas and placed 9th in the Open division. During the third stop at the Tour, we won our bracket. We placed 2nd in the Image Showcase Tournament. We placed top 12 in the Open Division at the Lonestar Classic National Qualifier and in the Mideast National Qualifier in Pennsylvania. My team and I placed 5th in the Northern Lights National Qualifier in Minnesota in the USA division. We finished 11th in the North Texas Region. I was honored to be asked to play with Victory 17 Elite Black's team at Nationals this year in New Orleans.

  • 07/17/2014 - Volleyball Factory Lone Star Select Training - Kristee Porter- Directer of Volleyball Factory: Sam is going to be a setter to watch as she continues to develop. She is already able to absorb advanced techniques and her volleyball IQ is growing. As a setter she has great accuracy and the ability to incorporate new offense quickly. Her speed and location of set are consistently accurate. She connects well with her middles and pushes a nice ball to the outside. What Sam lacks in size she makes up for everywhere else. As her volleyball IQ continues to grow and her court management continues to develop she will be a highly sought after recruit to some top programs.

  • Strength Training
  • For the last 5 months I've had the pleasure to work with and train Samantha Snyder. From day one you could tell she was hard working, focused and very coach able. Her hard work and dedication in the gym proved to show off when we retested this past week. She made gains in all areas. Including vertical and 5-10-5 agility run. All of these things were accomplished despite suffering an injury half way through our training. Most people would have stopped the training and used the injury as an excuse. We viewed it as a minor set back and worked around it. Her hard work and dedication is why she succeeded in here even while injured. The same hard work and dedication is also why she will succeed outside of the gym.

  • When I think of Sam Snyder and volleyball, there are a few words that come to mind: hard work, dedication, desire to win, and a tireless teammate. She has the kind of attitude and work ethic that every coach looks for in a player. She has a very strong desire to win and be on the court when the game is on the line. She will not be outworked by others on the team and makes sure her work ethic is helping her to improve every day. She is constantly encouraging teammates whether it’s on the court or the sidelines. She constantly has a desire to win whether it is in practice or in a game and is always trying to find a way to win. She learns from any mistake made and looks to increase her volleyball IQ at every opportunity. She has a great court sense and knows how to run the court very well. She knows what to look for and does a good job of finding the right place to set. She is a very enthusiastic player and is learning to play the game at a very high level every day. She is also a strong Christian woman with great morals and a very strong character. She is a complete volleyball player in every sense of the phrase. -Steve Collins

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
