The past two years I have been developing as a player at Western Texas College. I was one of the setters in a 6-2 offense my freshman year and got experience as a 5-1 setter during our spring season. That year we went to the regional tournament and made it to the semi-final round. I played in both games during our tournament and experienced playing in a pressure situation that demanded maturity and composure. Coming back my sophomore year, I was more confident in my playing and my leadership skills. I lead my team as a captain with half of our players being freshman. This year I was one of the setters in our 6-2 offense and focused on defense as well when we ran a 5-1 with the other setter. After playing at WTC for 2 years my leadership skills, playing, experience and confidence level has only improved. Now that I am near graduation, I am in search for a new team and school to make my home.
