Emily Rutherford '12 Recruiting Profile

          Hi my name is Emily Rutherford and I am a 2012 outside hitter. I am currently 5'11" and weigh about 150 pounds. I have done very well in my high school career at Georgetown High School. I started my high school volleyball season playing on JV as a freshman and starting my sophmore year not only made the Varsity team but started in a 5A school. During my sophmore year I received 2nd team all district and I helped my team make it to the state tournament, placing 3rd. My junior year of high school I was the team Captain and was 1 of 10 athletes to receive Central Texas top 10 Volleyball athletes . My achievments that year were 1st team all district and MVP. I feel like im a big part of my team because I don't make alot of  mistakes, I know the game very well and I am very strong mentally. It is my dream to play college volleyball at a school that fits me. I want to go to a school that i will make a big impact on and possibly play my freshman year. I am interested in any type of school. I do have a major that i am interested in and that is PreMed. i have always wanted to help people and i think that is the best way possible.
