Tia is a gifted and dedicated athlete who enjoys sports and competition.  She takes all aspects of being a top athlete seriously and works diligently both on and off the court. The only freshman on varsity, Tia contributed to the team's successful season.  A starter her sophomore year, Tia won Offensive Player of the Year by leading her team in kills and blocks as they qualified for state.  Last fall Tia was recognized as an All Texas Team Honoree by Lonestar.com and made the American Volleyball Coaches Association Phenom List for 2012 where she was invited to participate in the NCAA championship weekend in Louisville, KY.  In her junior year, Tia was named captain of her team and continues to be a starter.  Her power at the net make her the teams power, "go to" hitter.  For a second year, Tia made the AVCA Phenom List 2013 and was named to the 2013 All Texas Team as a Player to Watch.  She has a .88 second acceleration time for a 5 yard distance.  Tia maintains an outstanding GPA while managing AP classes.  Recently she was honored with a membership to the National Honor Society.  She is a respected leader whose drive to succeed is exceptional. In her free time Tia coaches younger athletes, tutors students, volunteers at local charities, was a member of her high school female wrestling team her freshman year, recently won the regional speech competition in FFA, and earned her certificate in floral design.  College majors Tia is interested in include business, entrepreneurship, and the sciences.
