Emily Perez '18 Recruiting Profile

My Name is Emily Perez and I am a junior at El Paso High School. I am currently on my school's varsity volleyball team and I have earned all district, all city and the new comer of the year awards with my volleyball team (sophomore season) / all state honorable mention team, all city 1st team, all district 1st team and district 1-5A MVP awards with my volleyball team (junior season). I am also a member of the El Paso High School varsity track team and advanced to the state regional championships for high jump last track season.  I am a diligent student athlete currently in the top 3% of my class as well as being enrolled in all honors courses. I intend to pursue a career in the medical field and I would love the opportunity to play college volleyball!  The characteristics that separate me from other student athletes are the zeal I have for volleyball and the passion I have to succeed at everything I focus on.  I am a goal-oriented person and will not settle for anything less than my absolute best.  I will not make excuses and strive to get better every day on the court and in the classroom.  I am looking for a coach and program that will make me the best player I can be at the collegiate level.  My father and uncle were starting quarterbacks for the University of Texas at El Paso football program, so I am well aware of the type of commitment necessary to excel at the collegiate level.  I am a very skilled athlete with the desire to get better every day and my best years are still ahead.  

I look forward to accomplishing my goals of becoming a physician and playing volleyball at the next level.  Should your program invest in me as a student athlete, I will assure you that it will be a mutually beneficial relationship on the court and in the classroom.
