Emily Klein '10 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'11" outside Hitter from Dallas, Texas. I have played Volleyball since the 5th grade but I have no club experience due to my involment in two other varsity sports. I also have three other siblings that also go to a private school, so club was out of the question due to time and money. Many people have told me that I wouldn't be able to play in college or be recognized if I didn't play club. I refused to believe them and it made me push harder to show them I could go somewhere great for volleyball. I play for a small private school and I am the tallest on the team so naturally the coaches put me at middle, even though my true postion is as an outside hitter. I have recieved 1st team all state and have played in the All star game this past summer. I have been a starter on varsity for the past four years of high school and was a captain as a junior and remain captain for my senior year. It has been hard dealing with recruiting since I don't play club and I am at a small school. I am open to go to different areas of the U.S. for college. I would like to play at a DII or DI level and make an impact on the team and be able to study nutrition or food science.
