I have been playing volleyball and club volleyball since seventh grade. I started out as a outside hitter and defense specialist. I am a smart and a good outside hitter. In my sophomore year I decided to switch to libero and defense specialist. The reason for this was because I was not getting taller; however, if I couldn't get the kill then I could definitely make a great pass to the setters. I love to play defense because of the challenge of getting digs from the hard hits, and also making sure there is a great pass. I am a consistent passer, quick on the court, good communicator, quick learner, takes direction well and very knowledgeable about the game. Without a good pass, there is no set, no hit because passing is the foundation of the game. Foremost without teamwork and communication there is no team that will be able to have a successful season. As a libero, staying out on the court most of the time, you anchor the team and I love having the team depend on me. My high school volleyball team conditions all year long for volleyball. We have strength and conditioning - plus sand volleyball - during the summer. My club team practices three times a week, and my additional sport I do in school is power lifting. I have been doing this for four years( two years in junior high and two years in high school). My education does come first and I plan on going into medicine to become a Neurologist. I take AP classes and maintain a 3.85 GPA (on the college scale). I want to play college volleyball but if i don't I still plan on playing the game or a connection to the sport.
