Obtain a college education, be married and have a family are my main life goals. I also would like to be involved in missionary work (in the area of education or nursing) using the gifts and talents God has given me. I enjoy serving others, especially children.
I have been playing volleyball since I was in the 6th grade and because of my love for the game and support from my parents and coaches I have never stopped. I have played as a setter, and now I play the libero position in High School and in Club. Presently, I play for the top 17's team at ACE Volleyball, Arlington, TX.
In the classroom, I enjoy learning as well as working hard to earn the respect from my teachers and my classmates. I also enjoy learning, playing, competing, and working as a team on the volleyball court. I've always worked hard to become the best volleyball player I can be. Hard training and being a part of a team that "fights" to be the best on the volleyball court are key factors to be the best. I like to win, but I realize that winning is not everything if you don't play with integrity and a good attitude. This would include being accountable and respectful to the members of my team, my opponents, and the officials that are part of the game of volleyball.
The game of volleyball has taught me several lessons. One of them is the respect for my opponents, my teammates and my coaches. My hope is that I'll continue to learn many other lessons such as this one, so I can use them during my life after I am done with Volleyball.
As mentioned earlier, one of my goals is to obtain a college education. My sincere hope is to obtain a college scholarship so I can fund my studies to prepare me for my future adult life.
Sincerely, Leecia DePaula.
