My dream ever since I was little was to play college volleyball. I started playing volleyball the summer after my fifth grade year in school and have attended summer volleyball camps since then to help achieve my goals. Once I set foot on the court and had a volleyball in my hand I knew that volleyball was the sport for me and that I wanted to play college ball. I want to become a large animal veterinarian because I love animals and grew up with them by living and working on a ranch. I know that there is a shortage for large animal vets and a need for them in my area, so I want to help out. I attended three different college volleyball camps this past summer. I played league volleyball several times a week this past summer as well. When I was not at camp or playing league volleyball, I was practicing my skills during open gym at my high school. My goal was to achieve the starting varsity position as a Outside Hitter. I started out my volleyball season on the starting rotation for the Varsity team. I started in outside hitter position this last fall 2014. I also played middle hitter/blocker during this past volleyball season as well. I am playing on the Black Hills Junior Olympic Volleyball on the 17's team. I will be attending tournaments Feburary through May. I am working on my core strength and agility at this time by weight lifting several times a week with the high school weight trainer. I am currently maintaining a 4.0 GPA at school as well and am ranked #1 in my class. I have recently been invited to play volleyball this summer for the Down Under Sports Program on the Central Conference team in Brisbane, Australia. I am planning on attending and working for my trip. When the 2014 volleyball season ended I was really disappointed and missed it a lot. I'm very determined to fulfill my dreams and I won't let anything or anyone stop me from making my dreams come true.
