Hello, I am Salacia Jewett a senior at Cheyenne Eagle Butte high school this year and will be graduating in May. I want to continue my dream of playing volleyball at the collegiate level. I have been playing volleyball since i was in 7th grade. Over the years i have gotten much better, as far as my vertical and strength of my serve and spike. I used to be able to only jump not even a whole foot off the ground. But by conditioning and going to numerous camps in the summer. I have been able to increase my approach and block jump to over a foot and a half. With my 5'6 height i can see that i am not the ideal outside hitter but i figure it doesn't matter what height you are, just as long as you can jump and kill. The outside is where i am most comfortable but i am able to play all other positions as well. Last year as a junior i was awarded Big Dakota Conference All tourney Team and this year aswell. Along with that this year i was awarded Mobridge Rotary All Tourney, Lakota Nation Invitational All Tourney, Big Dakota All Conference. I am also a select of the USA Select U19 Volleyball Team 2017 Invitational. I strive to make and break records in everything I do in school and on the court. My attitude towards volleyball and school are to do the best of my ability until my body no longer allows me to do so.
