As a athlete I have played three different sports; volleyball, basketball and track. My Freshman-Sophmore year in High School was a defining moment, I started training at a volleyball academy named DSK. When I started training I barely knew how to play, and was told I could never play as good as some of the other girls. It was that day when I got told that, I decided to prove them wrong. After a year of training I took the 1st outside hitter postion on the Varsity team, and everyone who knew how bad I use to be was astonished. Even my own family members were shocked at the level of player I had become. That year I got awarded honerable mention for All-League, my Junior year I became a even more stronger player then before. I was awarded, Athlete of the Week, 1st Team All-League, 2nd Team All-MidValley, and Honorable Mention All-State. Not only did I prove that person wrong, I had a part in changing my entire school's sports programs. I could have left and went to a better school with a good volleyball program, but I stayed. I stayed because I wanted to make a difference and lead my Varsity team to State Playoffs for the first time in years. Now it's my senior year, and I am going to come back on that court even stronger then before and show everyone that just because your school doesn't have a successful team does not mean you should transfer schools. My dream is to be a college athlete and I know I can do it. I want to show everyone that hard work does payoff, you just have to put in the effort.
2016- I played my Freshman Year at Lane CC as a DS/OS and am now looking to change schools/team.
