Allisya Darby '13 Recruiting Profile

My plans for the future were pretty much decided at an early age. As a young child, I knew that I wanted to go into the medical field with an interest in pediatrics. Now I know that I would like to become a pediatric dentist, and hopefully, move on to be in charge of my own practice. Sports have always been a very big part of my life. I have always been involved with sports, mainly softball and basketball. I have always had an interest in volleyball, but didn't start playing until my sophomore year, thanks to the encouragement of a friend. I found that I not only had what some would call: " a natural talent" for the sport, but also an undying love for it. I am really enthusiastic about getting the opportunity to play on the collegiate level. My two main positions are middle and outside. I played outside for my school and middle in my club seasons. I am really comfortable in both, and will work extremely hard in any position I am placed in. I feel that I am ready not only physically, but mentally as well.
