Tessa Rogers '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’1” 125 lbs outside and middle hitter from Durham, NC. I started on Southern Durham High School's varsity team and won MaxPreps player of the game 4 times my freshman season. I was selected for Big 8 3A All Conference Team for the 2017-2018 season. I have played club volleyball for four years on a national team at North Carolina Volleyball Academy. During my high school season, my coach acknowledged my leadership role on the team. I try to give back to my community by volunteering whenever I can whether in the classroom or on the court. I push myself every day to become better than before because I know I have even more room to grow. I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 4.5 weighted GPA, I will graduate in the class of 2021 from JD Clement Early College High School with 60 college credits. Even if the credits attained during high school do not transfer to my ultimate school I will have gained the experience and demonstrated my ability to handle college classes. Through backpack camping with my dad and skiing with my mom, I have grown to love and appreciate travel. Therefore I am open to any location for a college near and far. I am open to any school I can succeed both in academics and sports. I would like to attend university to graduate with a major in Political Science and attain a law degree. I would love to play for a team that best suits me whether its DI DII or DIII.
