I started as a young professional left back...Nah, but really I started playing volleyball in fifth grade as a way to just get me active. In my second season of recreational YMCA volleyball I started to realize that maybe I could really be good at the sport. I tried out for the middle school team and from then on out I was hooked. I started playing club in seventh grade and by my eighth grade year I had advanced so far that the high school coach started getting excited about me playing for her and I got my first college letter that same year. My freshman year I switched clubs and was introduced to a whole new beast; never before had I come in contact with such intense coaches and players alike. I started to take the sport a lot more serious at this point and realized that I wanted to play college volleyball. I want to play at the next level and I try to focus both on athletics and academics because I know that it takes both to be successful. I hope to one day make it to the Olympics for beach volleyball after college and many years of training. I also have a website that you can look at www.chyennepump.weebly.com.
