Hi, I'm Eile (sounds like Ay-la), and welcome to my Personal Statement.
I will be a high school graduate in May 2014. I am a hard-working and dedicated team player, and I'm told that I bring On and Off the court spirit and energy to my Team.
While my high school team did not get past the first round of the Group 3 state playoffs in my last two seasons, my end-of-season junior year personal stats had me state-ranked at 7th overall in Service Aces (and 1st in the State among Group 3 schools); 19th overall in Blocks; and 53rd overall in Kills. There was a senior year statistical glitch, with my total season stats not being represented...but in skills, fitness and leadership, I know I improved. I was recognized with First Team All Conference (2 years); Captain and Team MVP (2 years); and in my Fall 2013 senior season, I was named to the All South Jersey Team; received 2 All Tournament recognitions; and I was recognized with the first-ever Coaches Award at the Burlington County Open.
I love playing with my U-18 CJVA Black Wrath club team. My highly-skilled teammates and Coach Kevin have pushed and motivated me to tune my skills, and we're having a successful 2014 season with several tournament championships, so far.
My college "Plan A" is to graduate in four years with a Business-related degree. To get there, I plan to train and study hard, so I seek a coach, teammates and academics that demand my best. I also seek to graduate with the least debt possible, so, I'd like to find a coach and college with a scholarship, grants and work study combination, to help me achieve the "least debt" part.
I was previously committed to a Division I college in New Jersey, but when that coach's contract was not renewed, I became recruiting-available again earlier this year.
